EXPERIENCE MATTERS.
I've spent eight years working at the Council table and six years serving as your Deputy Mayor and a Grey County Regional Councillor.
I've worked through difficult decisions, built relationships at the local, regional and provincial levels, and learned what it takes to move ideas from discussion to action.
Experience doesn't mean doing things the same way we've always done them. It means knowing when change is needed and having the experience to make that change work.

Healthcare & Seniors
Championed the search and helped to secure the location for the 192 bed new long-term-care home to strengthen seniors' care in our community.
Municipal Accommodation Tax
One of the original architects of the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT), helping create a new revenue stream that brings visitor dollars into our community and reduces reliance on local taxpayers.
COVID Recovery
Helped establish the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force and working with community partners through an unprecedented period. Helped develop Give the Gift of Blue to bring over $100,000 for local businesses.
Community Investment
Founded the Council Comittee that supports grants, donations and community initiatives that strengthen organizations across The Town. Saving over $250,000 in taxation to fund local groups through grass roots philanthropy.
Tackling Difficult Issues
Personally, developed a regulatory framework for STA licensing (short-term accommodations) while balancing residents, neighbourhoods and tourism to bring much needed structure and calm to this issue.
Infrastructure & Growth
Helped lead and guide major infrastructure decisions as The Town experienced unprecedented growth.
Proven Leadership
As Deputy Mayor, continuing to lead our local council and working with Grey County and the Province, by building relationships with all government partners to advance local priorities and strengthen funding opportunities for the Town.
